Why You’ve Got Too Much to Do & Not Enough Time

GrettaJanuary 19, 2022
  1. You feel guilty if you say no so you take on way too much.
  2. You haven't been prioritizing your time OR sticking with your priorities (because you're reacting to things that seem more urgent)

  3. You create long to-do lists, multiple to-do lists, sticky notes, scribbles on scrap pieces of paper vs. a singular, centralized system that accounts for the most important things.
  4. You don't consider what you've already committed to before saying yes so you over-fill your already full plate.
  5. You feel like you don't have the time to slow down because you're constantly putting out fires and feeling reactive and if you slow down or stop, it'll all fall apart. This is hustle.
  6. You take on everything as your own responsibility because, "If I don't do it, who will? "
  7. You decide what to do based on what you think you need to, should do, and have to - can be coming from trying to overcompensate a lack of belief in yourself and your enoughness with a false sense of "getting prepared."
  8. You never want to disappoint or burden anyone.
  9. You aren't planning clearly or specifically enough or you're planning too many things, so you don't get the things you planned done.
  10. You haven't learned how to stop overwhelming yourself (you focus on all of the options for you do to vs. deciding intentionally what you WILL do and putting everything else "away" in your mind
